ABOUT RHEUMCENTER

Viviane Bunin
MD/PhD/FACP

DR. BUNIN

Dr. Bunin is an MD/PhD/FACP – a licensed, board-certified physician with a Medical Degree in Rheumatology and a Doctorate in Immunology, honored by the prestigious FACP (as a Fellow with the American College of Physicians). She is affiliated with Overlake Hospital and Evergreen Health.

Dr. Bunin received her initial medical degree and doctorate in her home country of Brazil; she earned post-doctorate degrees in Paris, New York City and Seattle, and earned her American medical certification at Tufts University and Yale University. Dr. Bunin has been published numerous times in various medical journals. She also teaches medical students, residents and fellows.

Dr. Bunin is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. She is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, where she has presented multiple posters and abstracts.

Dr. Bunin is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish and French. She is married with a daughter and two dogs, who you will meet at RheumCenter.

ELLY

Elly previously worked as a Medical Assistant at the Rheumatology Division of Virginia Mason Hospital.  While pursuing her Nursing Degree, she joined our office part-time in May 2018. While she only works in the mornings from 8:30am-12:30pm, she is indispensable, serving as our M.A./ office manager.  Whatever your need, she will make it happen with a smile.

CHASE

Chase is our 4-year-old husky, who joined our family as a puppy. He will play fetch in the hallway if you like, but he is also content laying down all day long. He is known to cuddle with our patients for hours in the infusion suite, and he will happily accompany you during your exam, or stay in the lobby if you prefer.  Beware, he may be the softest dog you’ve ever met.

SHAYA

Shaya is our newest addition to the office. She joined our family on New Year’s Eve 2019, shortly after Lailah (who you met, if you were a patient before 2020) passed away. We rescued Shaya from the Everett Animal Shelter, and she has fit right into the the Bunin and Rheumcenter family. She is a loving puppy who will chase a ball – or playfully wrestle with Chase – forever, but is also content to snuggle up to you, roll over and beg you to pet her belly for hours on end. Fun fact: Her birth name is a mish-mash of our two previous huskies: Shadow and Lailah!

In Memoriam

LAILAH

If you came to Rheumcenter before 2020, you met Lailah, our husky/malamute mix, who we adopted in 2008, and who served as the office “grandma” at Rheumcenter until she passed away in December 2019. She was a great, calming presence at the office, and is missed by all who met her.
